Ever since they started out in Cheer 2004, Blitzerz have always been the "chipsmore" team to me. Their neither here or there. Basic at best is how I would describe them. Cheer 2009 changed all that perception of course.
In fundamentals, Blitzerz has what it takes to be the national champions but only with the shortcomings of other rival teams e.g. Shirtliff and Titans. The latter teams would've been in a favourable position to win the national champion title if Shirtliff were to hit a perfect routine and the Titans followed by the rules.
Routine Choreography
Bland and safe. Feels like something Dynamitez would choreograph. However, the music is in sync with the routine and it adds drama to the basket tosses. The dance is not outstanding and needs more transitions. Love the chants where they go "attack Blitzerz attack!". The low voice paired with liberty extensions made a strong impression.
Stunts
I noticed that Blitzerz has the best stats for stunts. Tiny flyers, big bases and tall spotters. This definitely made stunting easier.
- 4 sets of liberty extension arabesques down to heel stretches at prep level + twist cradle
- 3 sets of basket toss toe touches
- 3 sets of basket toss single verticals + show and go
- 3 sets of hand toss to teddy bear + single leg faltbacks + twist cradle + straight extensions down to prep + double twist cradles
- Outside hitch inside shoulder sit pyramid
- Basket toss kick
- (an ugly) Basket toss kick twist
- Basket toss X-Out
- Pyramid sequence to Outside off-sets inside heel stretch
- Perfection of routine is the rule of thumb.
- Spam your basket tosses. The crowd loves them albeit its not the hardest stunt.
- Firm stunt sets.
- Perfect stats of cheerleaders. Not neccessary but it helps.

I really love the beginning of their routine. Very BOOM! But I agree with you about their main dance and their music. Main dance was boring and not enough variations but damn, their music was super awesome! I loved their music! They deserve heaps of credit for their stunts. Very steady and high difficulty. I like the creativity of the stunt from the hand toss - teddy bear - single leg flatback. Very nice.

Thanks for reading! Their stunt sequence are creative but it's not that high in difficulty. Shirtliff and Titans are a step above. I'm going to do a review of Shirtliff's routine. Will keep you posted! :)

haha!! for my opinion is, They are really safe, Clean, talk about creativity ( tsk tsk tsk )
ofcause not as good as shirtliff and titan's
But, they have overall perfection ,
Like : Jumps are almost same height
Tosses are really high for 13 - 17 age group
Stable , interesting basket with pyramid ( tit tit tit Boom )
I think they can be better in stunts wise,
Too many tosses But less skills,
Stunts sequences : too simple yet Safe but i think if titan have non illegal stunts, they can just take over all the points.
Pyramids : Only 1 structure , i think if make it
2 structure ( means 5 flyers on air ) will be more interesting like titan's final pyramid , Stompers' Pyramid etc.
Tosses : Really Good height, but skills aren't that good, kick twist ( Please do not face Left or Right side or front, it because you will end up in a weird position that judge can't see the kick. My suggestion is Back facing, so the judges can see your kick )

Initially we had a couple of stunts that were just as difficult as titans, but took note that they were illegal. So we had to change them at the very last minute
Also, we wanted to make sure our execution marks were high. So we trained a lot on making it look effortless.
Although, we WERE a little disappointed with the competition this year. The other teams were not as good as the previous years.
& lastly, titans had mind blowing stunts but an ugly dance :S
Haha Blitz yes. Their dance looks quite.. I don't know how to put it... barbaric.
i like the barbaric dance..if u modify the barbaric dance with a little more diva-ness and transitions, it'l look great..haha..blitz, i like the fact that u girls made ur stunts stable as a lot of teams this year had very shaky stunts though high-leveled...from a cheerleader's point of view, i would appreciate the high level shaky stunts because the team stil manages to pull it off..but from a spectator point of view, i wouldnt think the high level shaky stunt as good...for example, a spectator who does not know cheerleading well, does not know the level of difficulty a double twist cradle is, to them, it doesnt catch their eye..but to cheerleaders, its like woah its a bloody double twist..in competitions, its not always about high level stuff ..its more about a balance between ENTERTAINING the crowd and using ACCEPTABLE and Creative stunts..if u do 4 sets going up to elevator, and double twist down and end of story, it is high level but its very boring in an audience's eye..but if u do visual effects like the mount(ex: 360 ) or do some fancy stuff in the air(ex: single leg, **some fancy diva move like hands on hips and leveling head higher to make u look more elegant**), or even simple transitions like moving elevators (TIP: STUNTS WHICH ARE CLOSER TO EACH OTHER LOOKS BETTER THAN STUNTS FAR APART) and then a double twist, will automatically give the double twist a BOOM! ..also, remember to use suitable music because the music plays an extremely important role in cheer..i give credit to blitzers for ur music and effects that are synchronized with ur tosses...if u put u 'gun-cocking' sound effect when the flyer does a toss, COMPARED to just the flow of a song during the toss, the 'gun cocking' toss will be more attractive.,.this is just from my point of view la..remember, after u choreograph a routine, when u watch it again, put urself as a spectator who doesnt know anything bout cheerleading and make urself feel like u dont really like cheerleading, and when u watch the routine with doubt and IF you get the chills watchign the routine, it means u hav successfully entertained an un-sporting spectator..put urself into various people's shoes to get a different feel when watching a routine..cheerleaders are athletes that PERFORM..which means u do crazy stuff TO ENTERTAIN..so if u dont have perky smiles on ur faces and if u dont give out the perky vibe, it doesnt fulfill the purpose of performing..remember, entertain the crowd, SELL YOUR ROUTINE! (sell as in not sell with cash but showcase it) get it? haha..u should all come to CHEERJAM this year to learn more tips and cool stuff and also to UPDATE yourself for next year's 'COOL THING'..

why lib down from elev? why basket kick? why basket x Out, why basket Toe-touch and so on~
i am not saying that this skils are bad or whatever, but just letting you know they are easy to execute it.
Lets just compare bout pyramid from Titans and Blitz,
Blitz pyramid are just simple, and final 1, there's only 1 structure, and fliping in and out isn't that hard, titans did it few years back. SO?! and look at titans yourself at the final pyramid, TICK TOCK EXT. TO EXT. INSANE?!!
And, titans 1st day did so many illegal moves, but their points are 2nd placing. and 2nd day they have double infraction ... SO!? i guess if there's no double infraction :) they are back again~ Titans L ~ O ~ V ~ W TITANS~

Uh Blitz... Titans stunts weren't illegal.
It's their pyramid which was illegal.
And the 2nd illegal move was the cheer stunt sequence. Their group stunts were legal thank you very much.
And note: The judges loved their dance.
I know you girls got the champion title but don't start firing at other teams.

Just to be clear, I was not firing at titans. I think they're great girls and they might have kicked out ass if they played by the rules :) btw, stunts or pyramids, whichever. If it's illegal, we all know what that means.
Good job to them for putting up a competition, REALLY. I am not a huge fan of their dance, but it's just an opinion. Just like how you guys think it's fine to 'Kanye West' Blitzerz and post hurtful comments about routines that us cheerleaders slave for, for months. Talking about Dynamitez too, thanks.

Dear Blitz, just let me get this straight.
Slavery does not equal greatness. For example, one may "slave" to study for months but still fail in exams would still be considered stupid.
Don't expect me to sugarcoat everything in my reviews. If I don't like something, I speak my mind. That's what blogs are for; to speak one's mind hence the title: MY OPINIONS FOR THE MASSES.

Wow Blitz... You all give me a really bad first impression.
Just take in the criticism and bring it to the floor next year.
C'mon girls. Don't take criticism personally. When you all get champion, you all should be ready for praises and criticism. I'm pretty sure Shirtliff, Dynamitez, Titans, Xavier and all those who got champion in previous years had to deal with people who have different, sometimes hurtful opinions.(For instant, the YouTube user 'dynamitezfan' who went to every team's video and critisized the teams.) Not everyone thinks like you girls do. Just take it as an advice and thank the people who critisized you. That way you will improve, and not be a slob after winning the champion title. No need to be such a sour puss and whine over people's comments.
Slaves or not, doesn't mean it will make every other people love your routine like you all do. Every team trained like slaves for this competition, not just your team. You say it like only your team went thru hell during those few months. No my dear, every team worked their asses off for this competition, some might be even harder and more bitter than your team. It's a matter of how you execute your routine on those two days, your luck, and also what the judges think. You might have the best routine, but just a little fall, an illegal move, a mistake, an injury, or I dunno, maybe one judge hated your costumes? and you might as well kiss the champion trophy goodbye.
(Artistic competitions are like that. Unlike those games like basketball, football and stuff where spectators can see really how many did the team scored. Artistic depends on what the judges think and how much they like your team.)
BTW Eric, I love how you speak your mind without being afraid of what people will think. I enjoy reading your straight-forward reviews. Keep them coming! I'll check back for updates. =]
